Carlos Arazoza (Carlin)

Carlos Arazoza (Carlin) arrived in this country with $5.00 in his pocket and a degree in accounting from Universidad de Villanueva in Havana, Cuba.

The first few years were difficult, working in private accounting. Soon he recognized the need to further his education. He attended the University of Miami and became one of the first Cuban American certified public accountants.

Advancing in his professional career, Carlin eventually moved from a small local firm to a national firm. He worked for Price Waterhouse, until 1970. Seeing a need for a Hispanic owned firm to serve the increasingly diverse business needs of South Florida and the region, he founded in 1971 the firm that later became Arazoza & Co,P.A.

His work ethics and professional integrity are values still central to the firm today.
